| 教育部新世纪优秀人才、湖南省121人才工程人选、湖南农业大学教授、生物学一级学科博士点领衔人助手。2002年获理学博士学位，曾主持承担国家自然科学青年基金、教育部新世纪优秀人才计划项目、湖南省杰出青年基金、湖南省科研条件创新专项重点项目等共6项，还作为子项目主持人参与了国家自然科学基金“植物激素的作用分子机理”重大研究计划重点项目的研究工作。已通过课题成果鉴定2项，获得2项国家专利和3项计算机软件著作权。在国内外刊物上发表论文20余篇，分别获湖南省自然科学优秀学术论文二、三等奖。获湖南省科技进步一等奖1项，湖南省高等学校教学成果一等奖1项。副主编或参编普通高等教育“十一五”国家级规划教材、全国高等农林院校“十五”和“十一五”规划教材4部，其中副主编的《生物信息学》获全国优秀教材。
